LOCAL PATRIOTS CREATE "TEA PARTY WITH A KICK"
Freedom Fest to promote capitalism, oppose tax hikes
(OVID, MI) –
Fed up with politicians who continually look to expanding the burden of
an ever increasing national
debt on our taxpayers and our next generation, two local patriots have
joined forces to stand up and say, “ENOUGH.”
Carl
Thornton and Tim Zwick came up with the idea earlier this summer to
expand on the popular “Tea Party”
gatherings that have been occurring across the United States and mix in
entertainment and a social aspect to the events. That’s how the
first annual John Galt Freedom Fest was born, labeling itself as “a tea
party with a kick.”
Hoping the
event will become an annual gathering of those who seek to keep
government accountable, this
year’s gathering will occur on August 22, 2009 at 113 N. Main St., in
Ovid, Michigan. Running from 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM,
the event will occur rain or shine and is expected to welcome a wide
array of elected leaders and representatives from
organizations like Americans for Prosperity and other grassroots
movements are also expected to speak.
Entertainment will include a world famous dueling piano show from Rum
Runners, located in Lansing Michigan
and numerous other local bands and entertainment.
Tickets for
this all day event are just $5 per person and can be obtained by
calling or e-mailing Carl Thornton (ph:
517.749.9203 e: carlwt1@gmail.com). For more information visit
www.johngaltfreedomfest.com. Tickets will also be
available the day of the event.
Sponsorships for
the event are still available. The First Annual John Galt Freedom Fest
is presented by Applebee
Oil, Liberty Coin Service, Ovid Iron and Metal, Dale Carnegie Training
and Bill Robinson Tree Service.
